How to remove unwanted emails from your Gmail account?

However, another option is to use the filter option to automatically remove unwanted emails from your inbox. You can use this filter option by following the below steps:

Step 1: Log in to your Gmail account and click on the filter option in the search bar. You will find it to the extreme right in the bar which says “Show Search Options”.

Step 2: Now, in the subsequent drop-down menu, enter the address from which you don’t want to receive a message in the “From” option. After then, click on “Create Filter”.

Step 3: You will see a list of options; wherein you have to check the box next to “Delete It.” Press “Create Filter” once more.

Step 4: That’s it! you will no longer receive emails from the specified address.

Keep in mind the following

• If you can’t find this option in the search bar, you can find it in the Settings section. Under the “Filters and blocked addresses” tab in the Settings section, you’ll find the “Create a new filter” button.

 

• It is always preferable to enter an email ID rather than just a name, as Gmail can delete any email with the same name. Enter the complete email ID if you only want Gmail to delete emails from a specific sender.

 

• It should be noted that this feature only applies to incoming emails and does not delete emails that have already arrived.
