Step 1: Go to Google Analytics and log in to your account, select the “Admin” option from the navigation bar.
Step 2: You will notice three columns on the screen, including accounts, properties, and views. You need to go to the first column “Account” and select the account that you want to delete, from the drop-down button. Then select “Account Settings”.
Step 3: Once you select the appropriate account, click “Move to Trash Can”.
Step 4: Google will confirm once again, you just need to click “Trash account”.
That’s it! Your account has been deleted from Google Analytics now, and a confirmation email sent to your Gmail account as well.
Though you can restore the same account within 35 days from the date of deletion, after that it can’t be restored.
In case you wrongly delete the Google Analytics account, you can easily restore it by following the below steps. Though, these below steps can be done within 35 days from the date of deletion of an account.
Step 1: Go to Google Analytics and log in to your account, select the “Admin” panel again and select the deleted account from the list.
Step 2: Click “Trash Can”.
Step 3: Select the deleted account, and click the “Restore” button.
Done, your account has been successfully restored and you will get a confirmation email for accounts’ restoration in your Gmail account.
