We need to change our name while attending Zoom meetings so that the Host can easily recognize that it’s you. It is recommended that you always share your complete name while attending Zoom meetings so the host can admit you to the room if they have a waiting room enabled. How to change your name on Zoom

On Phone (Android and iOS)

Step 1: To change your name after entering a Zoom meeting, click on the “Participants” button at the bottom of the Zoom window.

Step 2: Tap on your name.

Step 3: Tap on “Rename” to rename.

Step 4: Enter a new screen name so the host and others can recognize you easily.

Step 5: Modify your name as you want and click “OK” to confirm.

On Computer (Mac and Windows)

If you use the computer and want to change your name during Zoom meeting, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Click on “Participants” at the bottom of your screen.

Step 2: A list of participants will appear on the right side of the screen. Hover your cursor over your name until you see the option “More”.

Step 3: Now, click on “More” and then select “Rename”.

Step 4: A pop-up window appears, wherein you have to enter your complete name and then click “OK” to confirm.

Can you change other’s usernames in Zoom?

If you are the host of the meeting, you will have the option to rename another user. All you need to do is just click on the “Participants” tab at the bottom of the screen and then click on “More” next to the username.
